This site is about everything I enjoy in life.

I plan to use this site to post blogs about music, technology, lifestyle, diet, nutrition, and anything else that sparks my interest.

My name is Frank Tuozzolo aka FrankApedia, and I have been working in Corporate IT for the past 25 years. Prior to that I was a heavy duty truck technician working on just about everything under the sun.

At this point in my life, I stive towards being the best version of me as I enter my 6th decade here on earth. I was not always laser focused on my health and as a result of that I now deal with the damage that was the result of poor lifestyle choices.

I have always struggled to maintain a healthy weight throughout my childhood and adult years. At one point in my life, I was 100 lbs. overweight and a ticking timebomb as a result of neglecting my health combined with other poor lifestyle choices.

At the time I recorded the video below I was still struggling to overcome the aftermath of autoimmune issues which nearly knocked me out of commission. I was losing weight without even trying and I also felt weak and frail. I am generally not someone who likes to rely on prescription drugs however things go so bad that I had to start taking Skyrizi, and other medications to manage high blood pressure and high cholesterol. My CAC was off the scale and after trying Statins for almost a year I switched to Repatha. I plan to post blog pages that go into more detail in the near future.

The video below covers some of what I mentioned above.

At the time the video was recorded I was still in the process of recovering from whatever caused my autoimmune condition to attack my body to the point I felt like I was dying (this happened shortly after I was forced to get the jab). I was about 10-12 lbs. lighter than I am now and at one point I was struggling to stay about 150 lbs. my normal weight is between 162-164. After regaining the weight, I feel stronger and healthier, but I also feel like the medications are making it harder to remain metabolically healthy. Metabolic syndrome causes poor glucose metabolism and insulin resistance which then leads to other conditions health issues like heath disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and liver/ kidney issues. It is a downward spiral, and we must do everything we can to maintain normal metabolism. When we eat foods that cause blood glucose to rise a healthy metabolism can easily harness that energy to perform our day-to-day activities.
